What happened?

This was the best alarm clock app, but when i upgraded to iPad Air 2 it doesnt work quite right anymore.
I am unable to turn off the alarm instantly and it no longer gets gradually louder.
When I turned the alarm off, it still went off the next morning.
I tried deleting and reinstalling but it did not work.
Any ideas how to fix it?
