Paid for one thing, got another

I had the free version of this app, which worked great until iOS 9 came out. It worked in the background, sounding the alarm even is the app wasnt active on launched. After iOS 9, it worked intermittently, sounding the alarm on odd days. I bought the full version hoping none of this would happen. Now, if I done launch the app, the alarm simply doesnt work! What Gives?
